Turn or Burn.

You may have hang-ups that the Christian God can't or won't forgive you for such and such a sin. You may sometimes feel and know that a moral God has to send such an awful sinner like you to Hell for your many immorality - you're right.
You might even be a Christian who has commited so many sins that you no longer think there's any Blood left to cleanse you this time.
You may be thinking God is tired and done with you for confessing and repenting of this sin for the hundred plus one time.
I have this Word for your consideration before you give up.
Isaiah 21.11,12 - this is God's message to Edom (this is where you put your name):
Someone from among you keeps calling (the fact that you call means there's mercy for a sinner like you), calling to me: "Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? How much time is left?" The watchman replies, "Your judgement day is dawning now. Turn again to God, so that I can give you better news. Seek for Him, then come and ask again!"
You may ask what's so special about this, let me tell you. Edom, the original recipients of this message had sinned beyound sin. They had insulted the Most High, broken every command He's made, and hated all them that love God, yet God had mercy for them who will come to Him. Don't forget Edom was the nation that God hated even before its founder was born.
The God who asked Edom to turn from sin is the same God saying to you "if you'll only give up on self and give up to Me I will save you. If you will only turn from looking at your sins and look to Me you'll find mercy."
There's hope for you. There's mercy for you. Your wondering if God can forgive you is the Voice of God calling you to the Cross. You don't have to wonder again if the sinners prayer you said was effective, all you need to do is repent and seek the LORD. Your sins can be forgiven. You can have peace with God and yourself.
The message has always been "YOUR JUDGEMENT DAY IS COMING: TURN AGAIN TO GOD." "REPENT OR PERISH." "TURN OR BURN."

God Esteem.

Have you ever wondered why there's so much confusion and disorder, lack of joy and peace, and lack of identity in the Church though there's so many books and sermons about self-identity, self-esteem, and discovering your potential and purpose. I do think much about it and I've come to the conclusion that God doesn't care most about our self-identity and esteem. I'm not saying He doesn't care, am saying He doesn't care MOST about us. The God of the Bible is so full of Himself that He does all things for Himself. He made you for Himself, He rescued you for Himself, He rescued you from Himself, He blesses you for His own sake. He does all He does for His own sake. Go through your Bible and you'll see that though He does things for His creation its all for His glory. He wouldn't be God if He cared for anything or anybody more than He cares for self. If God cares about Himself most and cares about you much, it stands to reason that you can only find ful...

THE BOOK OF LAMENTATIONS

Like an eulogy at a funeral the book of Lamentations is meant to mourn a loss, the loss of a nation. Author, Recipients. Jeremiah, the author was of priestly descent and lived in the little village of Anathoth, a short distance north of Jerusalem. He was called whiles still young. The prophet’s call took place in the 13th year of the reign king Josiah, 626 B.C. and five years before the Book of the Law was found in the Temple. He is also the author of the book that bears his name, Jeremiah. The Prophet’s mission was a sad one; his office was like a minister obliged to accompany a criminal to the scaffold. Judah had disobeyed God and turned a death ear to all invitations and warnings to return; the end was approaching. Divisions. The book consist of five independent poems, each an expression of grief. It deals with the calamities that befell the people of Judah and Jerusalem in consequence of the siege and capture of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans. I.     ...

Our Holy God Purges; Therefore It Will Come Out in His Fire

In Deuteronomy chapter 4 we find the phrase “ the Lord is a consuming fire .”  In that book the Lord had given His chosen people a law to obey. A law that was to save them, a law to enrich them, a law to make them inGodded, a law to make them the best of what a human can be. He gave them this law for he wanted a called-out people, a people who are counter culture, a people who are holy. After he had given his laws, he added the words “ I am a consuming fire and I am a jealous God therefore I will burn out against you if you do not follow my law .” In previous chapters, the writer gives the believer so much positive motivation to follow and obey Christ; you’ll think he’ll have no nee of negative motivation. Yet he talks of judgement and wrath. Take a look at some of the reasons he gives to help us stay faithful.  Remember that this time we are in the New Testament. The Old Testament was a ‘come and see’ religion. In the Old they had a written law on parchments that when di...
