God Esteem.

Have you ever wondered why there's so much confusion and disorder, lack of joy and peace, and lack of identity in the Church though there's so many books and sermons about self-identity, self-esteem, and discovering your potential and purpose.

I do think much about it and I've come to the conclusion that God doesn't care most about our self-identity and esteem. I'm not saying He doesn't care, am saying He doesn't care MOST about us. The God of the Bible is so full of Himself that He does all things for Himself. He made you for Himself, He rescued you for Himself, He rescued you from Himself, He blesses you for His own sake. He does all He does for His own sake. Go through your Bible and you'll see that though He does things for His creation its all for His glory. He wouldn't be God if He cared for anything or anybody more than He cares for self.

If God cares about Himself most and cares about you much, it stands to reason that you can only find fulfilment, peace, joy and purpose in caring most about this God. His glory is what matters to Him and He will have it anyway so do yourself the favor of finding out how to give Him glory. You were made for His glory, so forget all the self, self talk and let's start a God, God talk. God-esteem, God-identity, God-fulfilled. Its only in we knowing what matters most to God that we find ourselves.

An Allegorical Re-interpretation of the Book of Ruth in light of the Present Day Inattentiveness of the Church to the Great Commission.

“Now it came to pass in the days when the Judges ruled there was famine in the land………” It is not the mandate of Judges to rule, but rather to carry out the decrees of Kings. Yet, in the time of this story, Judges ruled in the land of Israel. Their ruler ship brought about famine in the house of bread, their rule brought about lack in the place of fruitfulness.      We need to understand that when kings refuse to do their duty – which is to rule - there will always be famine in the land. Anytime there is famine in any area of life, it signifies a break in ruler ship. God created us in such a way that we always need an external agent to help us enforce even that which is for our own good.  The Church has been made an agent of reconciliation [1] , because in this age of the New Covenant, we are the Kings [2]  and if we refuse to rule, ‘strangers’ to the throne will rule. He's Responsible.

Jeremiah 31:28 - And it shall come to pass that as I have watched over them to pluck up and break down, to overthrow, destroy, and bring harm, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, declares the LORD. A wise man has said 'he who loves you is he who tells you the most truth.'
